Colin Dexter Last Seen Wearing

A girl goes missing and Morse is asked to look into it as the detective that worked on the case is killed in a car accident. The investigation centres around the girl's school and it's masters.
Unlike most detective novels Inspector Morse, the protagonist in this tale, is not quasi-infallible he's actually fallible. Not in a flawed hero kind of way but more in a dead wrong kind of way. It isn't bad it is just different.
If you like Morse this will be enjoyable. If you're not familiar it may feel a little like fumbling around in the dark. Realistic police work has never been the stuff of fiction.
