Dick Francis– Trial Run
A product of the late 70's, Trial Run flirts with terrorism, to the backdrop of horseracing and the Olympics. Unfortunately, despite the potential for higher stakes than in a usual Francis novel the book is not one of his better efforts.
The book is of course 30 years old now but even so I found Randall Drew (this particular Francis incarnation) plodding, dull and old-fashioned.
Not recommended.
